The 2013 Get:Outdoors Charity Kayak Fishing Tournament is in the books. This year we switched things up from previous years. Instead of a captains meeting the evening prior to fishing, a unique photo identifying number was issued by email. Also, the format was a three fish aggregate. This years charity was two-fold. The Haw River Trail and Haw River Assembly. Though separate entities, collectively they work to protect water quality and provide recreational land and water access along the rivers 110 mile length.

Being a charity tournament, we rely on the generosity and support of manufacturers and friends for product donations. We are grateful to the following for their support; Hurricane Aqua SportsNative WatercraftWerner PaddlesMTI Adventure WearMalone Auto RacksYakAttackThuleAstral DesignsStick-It Anchor PinsImmersion Research,Acrylic Werks and the NCKFA. Thanks to our anglers, approximately $1,300 was raised. (official amount TBA).
